nothing important

haha...i hate how the world sends little signs to you when it's trying to tell you to do something. it's actually rather bizzare.

In other not-so-exciting news, I can't believe my Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire countdown is already 5 days, 23 hours, minutes, seconds...And, add a minute for the fact I'm seeing the movie at 12:01, and you've got the extent of my nerdiness.

Because of said nerdiness, I've been downloading all the interviews with Daniel Radcliffe that have been happening all over TV. He was on TRL today, apparently, and the host was totally hitting on him, which is weird, because she's probably my age or older. He's 16! 16! ewww.

I changed my terror alert level icon to Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's not because it looks any better than the older one, but because of my love for ATHF.

Speaking of the terror (whether it be from He-who-must-not-be-named or the united states government), this shit hole amendment to not apply habeus corpus to prisoners is goddamn fucking ridiculous. so, here i will state something i hold to be true. government bureaucracy can always have people abusing it (in rare cases), but it is necessary in order to maintain the rights of those we apply our law to. as such, not allowing people in gitmo to appeal their cases, is fucking crazy. while i don't have all the things i've read over the past few years on hand, i think it's not out of hand to say that many of the people we're keeping in gitmo were never threats to the people of the US (something about two afghani satirists who did political cartoons before we bombed the fuck out of their country and then arrested them), and some of those people have died because of the torture we employ there...oh wait, i meant "interrogation tactics" not "torture". also, the recent finding about white phosphorus that our troops use, which burns the skin off of people...whatever. in other words, the fact i just wrote this post could make me an "enemy combatant", and if the fucking amendment passes, anyone who is considered an "enemy combatant" will be put in gitmo and have no right to appeal the reasons why they were put there.

Oh, i remember in high school learning about gulags and all that shit. but, that was evil communism, it would never happen here in the fully democratic U, S of A. Oh, the lies we'll feed ourselves. :-(
